Remove Vermiculite Safely

Phoenix Enterprises’ advanced "Vec–Loader" technology is the safest way to remove Vermiculite, both for those occupying building or residential homes and for those doing the work. This large, powerful vacuum truck, combined with our methodology developed over years of experience, ensure that none of the hazardous particles escape from the attic spaces of residential building or into the airstream of public building.

Traditionally, asbestos containing vermiculite is removed mechanically with shovels then bagged and walked through the property to remove it. It is difficult to ensure that all of the material is removed, and that none of the cancer causing particles escape into the building where others work or live.

The "Vec–Loader" is a powerful vacuum truck. Specialized hoses are used to remove the dangerous material from every part of the building, and take it directly to the truck where it is safely removed from the property. Our system ensures zero impact to the inside living area of the house or building.

If your insulation has to be removed while the building is occupied, whether you have a commercial or residential property, the experts at Phoenix can safely and cost effectively remove the vermiculite from your property with minimal interruption.

Commercial Vermiculite Removal

The "Vec–Loader" can be effectively used in many situations. In the past, Vermiculite was used in many commercial and industrial applications, including inside of block walls on buildings. Our equipment allows us to drill small holes in the block and suck hazardous material out. The alternative is to bash large holes in block walls and shovel it into bags as it runs out. The hazard is, that not all of the material is captured, and some hangs up on ledges. Dangerous microscopic particles can also be released as the material is manually transferred.

One of the key tools in our hazardous waste removal arsenal is the Vec-Loaders powerful super-vacuum truck which can be used for removing many materials including contaminated soils. Particularly in crawl spaces and where working space is limited, the 10" hose is easier to manoeuvre in cramped spaces than trying to shovel into bags. This process is also a much safer environment for our dedicated professionals. Phoenix eliminates these dangers.

Should Your Vermiculite Insulation be removed?

The safest solution is to remove it. However, if undisturbed and in an enclosed area where access is not required it can be left. In the event of renovations or demolition where the material will be disturbed, you are under an obligation to protect workers and the environment and have it removed. The experts at Phoenix can advise you on the best, safest decision to make.
